Pardon me while I gag. The math just doesn't add up, you see.

I love how Scaper keeps slyly making anti-blizzard threads. Ever 5 days or so, letting them go to page 3 then making some new alarmist newsboy stance because...he has a link to support it....LOL.
I was at blizzcon the first few hours (life invades, meh). I have no idea what that was about, as I didn't see that myself, but whatever makes Koreans drool to death...

I'm with Savio... where's the true successor to the greatest RTS of all time? I hate RTS games for the most part due to my terrible rapid-fire clicking skills... but I loved Starcraft. And don't even mention Ghost. That's nothing but sci-fi Sam Fisher.

Slyly? Thought I was being rather out-and-out about it, myself. As for the multiple Blizzard-related threads, it's simply that I feel they have pertinence to this fanbase. And as for letting them grow to multiple pages, I've a number of forums I'm active each day on and this is no longer one of them. Wouldn't I be more of an alarmist if I kept pressing a viewpoint in them after each reply anyway?
Besides, it's a forum. If you don't appreciate my posts, there's an ignore function you can employ. EDIT: Additionally, a number of my recent threads here have nothing to do with partisan gaming at all. The number of internet oddities and games I link to, for example.
And now, back to the topic at hand, please.

Hack/slash role-playing just isn't fun IMO. Granted if you are going to play that kind of game, you really can't do much better than the Diablo series. I just think that smashing the two concepts together doesn't produce something very fun. If I want to mindlessly slaughter things, I'll pop in whatever FPS I have handy and do that. If I want to painstakingly develop a persona throughout an evolving story, I'll grab a straight-up RPG.
In short, I basically consider hack/slashers as the "red headed stepchildren" of RPG gaming. They do both things well, but there are other games that do either thing BETTER... and personally I don't see the appeal in combining them.
So no, any annoucement of D3 doesn't really grab my interest. Start talking SC2 and I'll be all ears.

I don't wanna become addicted to diablo again! o_O
I wonder what the story will be since all the baddies were killed in the expansion.
And if it becomes a mmorpg with no monthly fee, im definitely getting it.
( i highly doubt the no monthly fee part )

The article claims this third iteration will take place in heaven just as hell decides to get testy and reinact Paradise Lost.
Diablo's not angsty enough to be Lucifer, though.

That was my initial determination when it came to Diablo 3. If the eponymous demon showed up looking like he was something out of a Saturday morning cartoon with the neon colors of a bad acid trip, I'd demand my $50 back.
I decided it wouldn't be worth the risk.

Just when I've given up on Diablo.....*almost*(ok, i started playing again this weekend......they claw me back in. Yes i agree with Kdab and Heist23, battle.net is where Diablo belongs. I hope the graphics are intense, gory, and scare me like my first Haloween!
